Prof. Adam M. Abubakar
Prof. Adam M. Abubakar is a distinguished scholar and practitioner in the field of Islamic Banking and Finance. He is a Professor of Islamic Banking and Finance, a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, and holds multiple international certifications. These include being a Certified Sharia Adviser and Auditor by the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI), and a Certified Islamic Arbitrator and Expert (CIAE) by the International Islamic Centre for Reconciliation and Arbitration in Dubai, UAE
He currently serves in several high-level advisory roles. Prof. Adam is the Chairman of the Pension Industry Non-Interest Advisory Committee under the National Pension Commission (PENCOM), Nigeria.
He also chairs the Advisory Committee of Experts (ACE) for both Foremost Capital Limited and KONOOZ Investment Limited. In addition, he is a member of the Advisory Council of Experts for Crown Takaful Limited and
serves as Lead Consultant on Islamic Banking and Finance for ANUTI Ethical Consulting Ltd.
Prof. Adam is a Fellow of Islamic Finance Professionals (FIFP) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria, the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (UK), the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC)
